OUR CONCERNS

With an initial understanding of CBA now formed, we then began to target the magazine's problem areas and suggest some improvements.

The current CBA cover designs, while clearly demonstrating the magazine’s comic book roots, fail to convey the important distinction that it’s spotlight is centered on the artists themselves, not the stories or the characters.

 
   
  The CBA masthead needs to develop a cleaner and more serious look that reflects the quality and genuine artistic talent of those it profiles. By scaling back the “comic book” overtones, the cover designs can begin to mirror the magazine’s true identity; that of a serious and sincere periodical on the art of comics.
