DESIGN GOALS
We’ve
now established two major goals that each revamped CBA cover and masthead concept should
meet:
1. Keep
all new concepts clean, fresh and timelessness to head off the misconception that CBA is
a “retro” magazine.
New concepts should be able to accommodate a wide range of cover art and styles from one
month to the next.
2. The
strong “comic book” feel of the current masthead
should be downplayed in favor of a treatment that emphasizes the “artist”.
3. All
new concepts should be act as more of a framing device to showcase each issue’s
original cover art. Integration of the masthead with the art is still possible, but should
be handled in a more subtle fashion.
